At the end of last month, over one hundred folks from across the Waco community united to dream about the future of downtown Waco. As groups presented their thoughts and plans of new businesses and green space, a central farmers market and multiple community gardens were mentioned as integral parts to a thriving downtown. No pressure, but the Urban Gardening Coalition and its network of growers and dreamers are the hands and heart behind the local food movement in Waco. Take note and be a part of these conversations.
