Texas Master Naturalists.

A message from/about the Texas Master Naturalists:

Texas Master Naturalist groups are part of an award-winning program designed to train well-informed volunteers for outreach, education and conservation service projects of benefit to natural areas throughout their region. At the state level, the Texas Master Naturalist program is jointly sponsored and supported by AgriLife Extension and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD).

After completion of an initial 40-hour training program, participants must complete 40 hours of volunteer work and 8 hours of advanced training each year to maintain their certification.  Training classes are offered year-round – start where you are and complete the curriculum as the training goes through the cycle. Our 2010 session will be starting soon – an informational meeting will be held on Thursday, January 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lake Waco Wetlands.
